Watch - Marc Jacobs

Outside the theatre / Found the Phoenix theatre where Once is playing and the queens theatre home to Les Miserables two of my favourite shows /  Chinatown / Chinese shop window / Shaftesbury Avenue / Waiting for Matilda to start

Months and months ago me and my best friend decided to book an 'alternative' girls holiday and we booked to go to London with a local coach trip to see Matilda and go to the Harry Potter studio tour!

On the 18th August the day finally came and we got up at what felt like the crack of dawn to journey up to London to see Matilda the musical . I have always been a huge fan of musicals but living so far away from London often have to rely on bootlegs of my favourites . I know I'm not supposed to but i do have a rule that i will only watch a bootleg if i know that there is no chance of me ever seeing the musical because it has closed, if it is on Broadway and is unlikely to transfer or if i have already seen the musical live and want to relive it again.

We had over an hour to ourselves before Matilda started so we done a bit of exploring but didn't stray too far in fear of getting lost so we just carried on in a straight line and to our complete surprise stumbled across china town, lets just say we were very pleased with ourselves !

The musical itself was absolutely AMAZING..... In some parts you wanted to laugh and others you wanted to cry. We saw Chloe Hawthorne as Matilda and she and the rest of the children are so talented it is hard to believe. Lately all i seem to do is walk around the house singing songs from the show, they are so catchy and clever.

I'm rambling on a bit know but i could seriously go on forever about how good the musical is , when it finished we headed over to planet Hollywood for some burger and chips and are day came to a nice relaxing end back in the hotel.

Day 2 post coming soon !

Whats your favourite musical?

Lashes of London - Rock the leather look (competition)

Lashes of London and Etail PR have teamed up once again to bring us all an amazing competition where you could win one of three leather look outfits !

I love leather pieces, you can wear them in so many ways and they can completely change the feel of an outfit so easily. I think my favourite out of the three is the first one , the leather dress, i love the girly cut out details.

Good luck

What's in your travel make up bag?

Foundation - Rimmel Wake me up
Concealer - Collection lasting perfection
Powder- Rimmel stay matte
Blush/Bronzer - Elf blush and contour duo
Mascara - No7 extreme length black (mini)
Eyeshadow - Beauty UK earth child
Eyeliner- Rimmel Scandaleyes brown
Lips - Vaseline cocoa butter , NYC applelicious Pink lady and big apple red

A few weeks ago me and my family took a trip to Brixham for a week and this is the make up that i brought with me for the week.

I only brought the products i use for my basic everyday make up look with a few exceptions .
I usually use the Naked 2 palette when i want to do my eyeshadow but for trips like this the beauty UK earth child palette is a great substitution with a mix of smokey and bronzey colours. I mostly used the creamy colour as a base, a bronze shade for my crease and the dark brown for my outer eye! It was subtle and i was pleasantly surprised with the pallet ! I finished my eyes with some brown eyeliner and maybe some mascara depending on how i was feeling.

We went away on the hottest week of the year so maybe wearing foundation wasn't such a great idea but without a little bit of foundation i do feel self conscious especially with my spotty skin . I would apply concealer and powder as well just for some added protection although some days if we were just going for a quick walk or were going somewhere quiet i would skip the foundation and just go for some concealer and powder to get rid of some of the shininess.

For lips i brought along 2 of my NYC applelicious lip balms , these are among my most used lip products the colour pay off is great , they smell good and are easy to reapply throughout the day.

What make up do you take away with you ?

Shopping in July : New look , River Island and Primark

Uh Oh , my plan to save money in July did not go as well as expected , with a new job and lots of sales going on it was too hard to resist and i gave in multiple times ... yea i really need to work on my will power!

New Look

Last month i was lucky enough to get a new job at my local new look store! So with a new job came new clothes, as you can wear anything you want as long as its from new look this season so i think i can justify my new look purchases although i have bought quite a bit more from there since i took these photos. I wanted to get versatile pieces that i can wear in different ways and not just to work.

River island

Guess how much the flower dress was ...... £2.50 !! Yes really , i couldn't believe it and it was in my size. I am in love with the quilted jacket from Chelsea girl , i have wanted it for so long and was hoping that by the time the sale came it would still be there, luckily for me it was and it was reduced to £15 instead of £35. I haven't had a chance to wear it yet but I'm hoping that by the end of summer i will

The last bits and bobs are just a few accessories i have picked up.
The sandals and bracelet are from New look and the quirky sunglasses and rings are from primark ! Whenever i wear these glasses my brother insists on walking 5 paces behind me and that i dont talk to him , but i think they are so cute.

Call me in the afternoon even by one by one

Straight dress dungarees - New Look
Rhino crop top - River Island
Gold chain spike necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Studded spike sandals - Primark

Not going to lie everything in this outfit i bought in a sale, got to love a bit of a bargain !

I was so happy when i found this dungaree dress in the sale in new look , I've been looking for a cheap straight dungaree dress for a while but was unwilling to fork out the £40 + for one in Urban outfitters or Topshop . Always feel like releasing the inner Alexa Chung when i wear them , just pass me the Breton striped top and brogues oh and also a fairy godmother to give me her hair and looks !

I'm so pleased with how this outfit turned out , I've been waiting to wear a pair these dungarees with a t-shirt and gold chunky chain since i got them a few weeks ago. Bit gutted about how the photos turned out though , most of them when i was looking through were hazy and dull and these were the only ones that were some what salvageable.

What is your favorite item in your wardrobe at the moment ?

Daisy chain

I love doing flower patterns on my nails! I'm not the best at nail art and i haven't got the steadiest of hands so doing flowers on my nails is so simple plus it doesn't take that long, which is always a bonus when you haven't got the patience for more complex designs.

I must admit that before MUA changed there packaging to look more like Essie i had never really looked at the nail varnish stand that much , but it caught my eye when i was wondering through superdrug one day and i couldn't resist these two pink shades ! I have been wearing Amaretto crush (the darker base colour) so much since i bought it a few weeks ago , it looks so pretty on and is opaque in about 2 coats so for a £1 you really cant go wrong. I also picked up natural days at the same time , which i used for the petals (i used a cotton bud)

Do you prefer doing simple or more complex nail art?
